Joseph Cornell Exhibition – Royal Academy

For a VIP preview of the Joseph Cornell exhibition at the Royal Academy, London, we were asked by Private Drama to create seven characters that would reflect Cornell’s work of his miniature worlds or ‘cabinets of curiosities’. The galleries were transformed into a Victorian world of sideshows and stalls, and our performers brought it to life with storytelling, banter and games.

Not only was the brief to entertain within the given theme, but we also had key messages from the hosts and the charities who were involved on the night. We successfully weaved our wonder, developing a variety of ways to engage with the guests, from storytelling to fortune telling and banter at the bar to gossip around tea tables.

“A big big thank you for last night – everyone was so professional – looking forward to the next one!” Private Drama
