Junior Graphic Designer

Full time Contract

Based in our Fishponds office – Bristol

Salary 20 – 25k

Bakehouse Factory is a multi-award-winning creator of interactive theatrical events. With over 10 years’ experience in the delivery of professional, interactive theatrical performance and set build, we bring the magic of the theatre directly into retail, leisure and cultural settings. We are looking for an enthusiastic designer who wants to be part of a highly creative and energetic company. We work throughout the UK, and, unlike many event companies, Bakehouse Factory does it all under one roof! No two days are the same. On any given day, arriving to work, you will be met with brilliant makers creating costume, writing scripts, designing choreography, and you will pass a workshop full of skilled carpenters, welders, painters or scenic designers. The Bakehouse Factory family comprises a large but close-knit team of highly skilled creators, and a national team of talented performers and event specialists who collectively bring our events to life.


Skills required

-A flair for generating original creative ideas

-The ability to communicate ideas through drawing, using Adobe and CAD softwares

-A good knowledge of various printing processes

-The ability to work with others, at all levels, as part of a team

-The ability to be resourceful and adaptable and be able to solve practical and conceptual problems

-An understanding of working within brand guidelines to ensure continuity between documents

-A good understanding of formatting and page layout

-You will be expected to create graphics on all scales, for props, social media, event signage and large-scale backdrops



Confident in;          Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign) Power Point

Ideal/Additional;   Other CAD software (AutoCAD, Vectorworks, Sketchup, Pro-create etc.) Publisher


All applicants will be expected to have excellent time management and organisational skills as well as an understanding of print production processes. You will be expected to assist the Design, Client Services and Marketing teams, using a range of skills in a fast-paced exciting environment!
