Casting Call Out! Performers in North and North-East England

CASTING CALL OUT!

We’re looking to boost our team of top performers in the North and North East to help create a magical journey to see Santa this winter. Bakehouse Factory will be producing a stunning large-scale Christmas event in the North East & West, offering exciting spaces for children and their families to unlock their imagination and be playful with our fabulous festive characters.

We want enthusiastic, friendly and hard-working performers to join the team as Elves and Santa, to spread Christmas joy!

Casting details:

Workshop auditions in groups will be held in Newcastle on:

• Tuesday 9th
• Wednesday 10th July

These will be 3 hours long (morning and afternoon sessions available), a chance to improvise, play and work with one of our scripts .

Production location: Tyne & Wear

Rehearsal dates: w/c 11th November (good availability for this week essential)

Live Production Dates: 15th November – 24th December 2024

Character Requirements:

Father Christmas: Must have a twinkle in their eye and lots of love for children, the warmth of families and Christmas magic. You will have great imagination to keep material fresh and alive; consistently delivering fun, with team-playing in your heart; becoming part of a warm, welcoming and inclusive theatre company.

*Will need to be clean shaven for the event dates

£18 p/hour

• With extra financial benefit for fulfilling the dates booked in advance

Elves: Must have super audience sensitivity and interactive skills and the passion to create an engaging and positive experience for families . You will have the necessary skills to manage audience flow through the event whilst staying in role, along with the imagination to keep material fresh and alive, consistently delivering fun and creating an unforgettable and magical experience for all guests. You will also have an aptitude for technology i.e. using touch screens for triggering photos & interactive displays (training will be provided for this).
